THE BETTER MARKET — TERMS & CONDITIONS

This website is owned and operated by The Better Market Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 788751, with its registered office at 7C/O Fast casual Distribution, Bluebell Industrial Estate, Bluebell, Dublin 12, Ireland. (“The Better Market”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
All content on this website is the property of The Better Market and may not be copied or used without prior written permission.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases of groceries, supplements, household goods, personal care and other items (“Products”) made through our website at www.thebettermarket.ie
 (the “Website”).
By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms, forming a legally binding agreement between you and The Better Market.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will apply to new orders once published on the Website. Please review regularly to ensure you are familiar with the current version.

SECTION 1 — MEMBERSHIPS
A. Memberships – General

To access member-only pricing and other benefits (“Services”), you must hold an active The Better Market Membership (“Membership”). The applicable membership fees (“Membership Fees”) are displayed on our Website and may vary depending on the membership period selected (e.g., annual, monthly).

Membership Fees are payable in advance for the entire membership term (“Membership Term”).

B. Automatic Renewal

All Memberships renew automatically at the end of each Membership Term at the then-current rate unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

You acknowledge and agree that:

Your Membership continues indefinitely until cancelled.

If you do not cancel before the renewal date, your Membership will automatically renew and the Membership Fee will be charged to your selected payment method.

C. Membership Cancellation

You may cancel your Membership at any time:
(a) through your Account page, or
(b) by emailing us at ian@thebettermarket.ie
.

Upon cancellation:

You will not be charged for future renewal periods.

Your Membership will remain active until the end of the current Membership Term.

Membership Fees already paid are non-refundable, except as required under the 14-day cooling-off rights for first-time annual members.

Cooling-Off for First-Time Annual Members

First-time annual members may cancel within 14 days of joining for a full refund.
Upon cancellation:

Access to Membership benefits ends immediately.

If you place an order after cancellation or reactivate your Membership, the current non-refundable annual fee will apply.

D. Changes to Membership Price

We may change Membership Fees at any time on a prospective basis. Any change will take effect after we provide notice to you.

E. First order discounts

Our money off first order offer applies only to full price Annual membership sign ups. Customers who complete a €60 sign up will be emailed a discount code to be used off their first grocery order saving them €30.

SECTION 2 — MODIFICATION OF SERVICE OR TERMS; ERRORS
A. Modification

We reserve the right, with or without prior notice, to:

Limit quantities or discontinue any Product or service;

Impose conditions on discount codes, promotional codes or similar promotions;

Restrict or bar any user from completing transactions;

Refuse to provide any user with any Product or service.

B. Typographical Errors

We may correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, including after an order has been placed.
If a Product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, or an incorrect amount is charged, we may refuse or cancel the order and issue a refund where applicable.

SECTION 3 — PRICES & SAVINGS
A. Prices & Reference Prices

Product prices may change without notice.

We use Reference Prices (Recommended Retail Prices, “RRP”) as supplied by vendors.
Reference Prices:

May differ from local market prices or promotional prices available elsewhere,

Do not guarantee that the Product cannot be purchased at a lower price elsewhere,

Are reviewed periodically but may contain inaccuracies.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time.

B. Savings Estimates

Savings displayed or estimated on our platform are projections only and may change over time.
We do not guarantee that any customer will achieve the estimated savings.

SECTION 4 — CONSENT TO COMMUNICATIONS

By providing your contact details, you consent to receive communications from us, including:

Order updates

Transactional messages

Membership notifications

Marketing messages (where consented)

Message frequency may vary. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

SECTION 5 — INFORMATION & ORDERING
A. Product Information

We aim to ensure all Product information—including descriptions, images, pricing and availability—is accurate.
Errors may occur, and we will correct them promptly.

We are not liable for typographical or technical errors.

B. Health Information Disclaimer

Any wellness, nutritional or health-related information on the Website is general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice.

Always consult a healthcare provider before using supplements or herbal products, especially if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a medical condition.

Our Products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

C. Ordering Online

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase.
A contract is formed only when:

Payment is successfully processed, and

You receive an order dispatch confirmation.

We may refuse any order at our discretion.

D. Payment & Pricing

All prices are in Euro (€) and include VAT at the applicable rate.
Non-Euro cardholders may be subject to exchange rates set by their payment provider.
We may update prices at any time.

E. Payment Security

Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment partner.
We do not store card details.

F. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.

G. Delivery

Free delivery applies to orders over €50 and we do not ship orders below €50 value.

We aim to dispatch orders within 2 working days.

Most Irish deliveries arrive next working day after dispatch, though please allow up to two days.

H. Cancellations & Returns
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Notify us within 30 days. We will provide a replacement or refund, including postage where applicable.

Change of Mind (Cooling-Off)

You may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it by emailing us with your order number.
Return costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or supplied in error.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 working days after processing.

Please note: Certain Products (e.g., food, supplements, personal care items once opened) may be non-returnable for hygiene and safety reasons.

I. Liability

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our control, including natural disasters, strikes, or technical failures.

We warrant that Products supplied are of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses, except as required by law or in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
